Abstract

This book was written to empower its readers to evaluate vital aspects of the theory and practice of sustainability assessment and to contribute to strengthening future practice. It brings together a growing body of research and practice on sustainability assessment, and offers both a framework for thinking about the challenges of sustainability assessment, and for evaluating specific sustainability assessment exercises.
