Kissane, B., Bradley, J. and Kemp, M. (1997) Exploring Mathematics: Using a TI-80 Graphics Calculator. Mathematical Association of Western Australia, Western Australia.
Abstract
This book is intended to help both secondary school students of all ages and their teachers use a Texas Instruments TI-80 graphics calculator for learning and doing mathematics. Apart from detailed advice for using the calculator, the book contains exercises to focus on how the calculator can be operated efficiently and activities that focus on using the calculator to explore mathematics. A wide range of mathematical ideas are involved including calculation, graphing and tabulating functions, chance and data, sequences and series, iteration and recursion, equations and inequalities, programming and calculus. Much of the material in the book is also relevant to other Texas Instruments calculators, including the TI-82 and TI-83.
