Connecting teacher preparation and licensure to progress in student learning: The evolution of work sample methodology
McConney, A. and Schalock, M.D. (1996) Connecting teacher preparation and licensure to progress in student learning: The evolution of work sample methodology. In: 5th Annual CREATE National Evaluation Institute Conference, July 1996, Bethesda, MD.
The authors look at some of the changes to the design and the measures associated with teacher work sample methodology between 1994 and 1996, based on Oregon’s standards-based model of education for the 21st century. To illustrate the changes a table is included showing Teacher Standards and Practices Commissions guidelines for work samples and Western Oregon State College’s teacher work sample components and measures/used in the assessment of the work sample.
